Smacombe Farm

Smacombe Farm is a smallholding on the Jurassic Coast near Bridport and not far from the 2012 Olympic Sailing venue. It is run by Bojan Dolovic and Charles Errington.
We have been keeping pigs since 2007, starting with four pigs, but our herd is growing. We plan to breed British Saddlebacks for pork and to strengthen the breed. We also plan to keep some modern or cross breeds for bacon and sausages.
We have a Silver Wings gilt expecting a litter any day and she can be seen on the PiggyCam. She is expecting a litter by Prestcombe Golden Arrow our prize-winning boar. We also have eight wonderful pedigree saddlebacks born on 21 August. We are also proud owners of an Octavia sow with a litter of twelve. We hope that soon we will really be able to call ourselves a farm. As at 1 December we have 36 pigs.
With these plans progressing we will have a real breeding herd and also some of the finest pork products available soon.
We keep chickens periodically, as local foxes allow. Currently the foxes have us beaten
